It truly has been one busy month for our family. Between trying to get 20 hours of work done, keep the house spic and span for propective buyers, and take care of the girls, I feel pushed and pressured and stressed. Then this morning I heard the song, "Legacy" by Nichole Nordeman (one of my favorite Christian artists) and it gave me a whole new perspective.
My favorite part of the song goes:
I won't lie, it feels alright to see your name in lights
We all need an attaboy, attagirl
In the end I'd like to hang my hat on more besides
The temporary trappings of this world
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose love?
Did I point to You?
It started me thinking about what is really important. The things that I have been prioritizing have such little value in the grand scheme of things. The ordeal of getting our house sold will one day be just a distant memory. The part-time job I now hold may have some short-term benefits to the company, but in 5 years (probably even less), no-one is really going to care that I worked for 2 hours instead of spending that time with my girls.
I start today with a renewed commitment to putting God first and my family next. The rest will all fall into place.

Very nice. Liked the song, loved the video. I like videos that tell a little story. We are all guilty of putting other things that we feel have to be done before the family. But it's good that you noticed that and are doing something to better it.
