Happy Fourth of July!

Lots of catching up to do on my blog. I was lucky enough to happen upon a great little book at the bookstore...I don't remember the name, but it was a list of the best blogs. Spent way too much time reading lots of awesome blogs from lots of awesome Moms who are awesome writers...clearly I've not been spending enough time "hugging" my blog. Good intentions and the path to hell and all that...

News on the Locklear front! I'm back at Honeywell doing a part-time contract assignment for my old boss, Gerry. He is being so supportive about me being here for the kids; I really only need to be in the office to show my face for a few hours about 2 days per week, working the rest of the time from home. We are all adjusting to the new schedule of getting everyone up and out in the mornings - the girls to Summer Camp until early afternoon and me to the office or back home to work on my computer. I think that Megan feels it the most, since she is used to always being at home with me. Plus I can tell because she wants to cuddle all the time and was really acting out last weekend. :-) Anyway, this too shall pass.

It was nice to go back to the office because everyone welcomed me so warmly (surprise!) but about the second day it hit me that I actually have to work! No biggie on the assignment, I'm just crunching some numbers and sorting out some infrastructure charges from Corporate. Easy, but I have to work up the confidence to trust the instincts that came so naturally before...I find myself taking forever to do anything because I'm constantly second-guessing myself. I AM NOT PERFECT! (or a perfectionist...yeah, right!).

In other news, Karen & Kaya have returned to Barbados, Daddy has gone to Canada to visit his brother, and Rachel just left to go back on her West Side Story tour. Next stop - Germany.

Here is the family photo that I promised.
