Right where I'm supposed to be

Know how sometimes you don't really want to do something, but afterwards you realize just how much you would have missed?

Ben and I were gone most of the day on Saturday at the wedding. Gosh, it was so nice to have my husband all to myself and to be able to chat. We had a great time and came home happy but tired.

Now, on Saturday afternoons we usually go to church. After the wedding I seriously needed a nap, but just as I was dozing off on the sofa, I felt something saying to me, "Get up and make coffee and go to church." So I did. I truly thought Ben was going to beg off, but we all ended up going.

So, we get there and discover they are starting a whole series on parenting. The very thing I've been praying about and asking for wisdom and guidance to be a better parent. The sermon completely affirmed what I'd heard at a Steven Covey seminar on families that Mummy and I went to the week before.

God knows the desires of your heart and answers prayers if you will just do your part. I'm glad we did.
