In love

Megan is in love.

The object of her affection is Anthony, a handsome preschooler with a dimpled smile who is 2 months her senior. Megan mentions him often and occasionally tells me that she is going to marry him one day.

We got together with Anthony and his family today for Storytime at Berean Christian Bookstore and Megan was in heaven. She greeted him with such an exuberant hug that she knocked him over, largely because she is suddenly about 2 inches taller than Anthony.

There is only one problem with this arrangement. Anthony, while agreeing that Megan is his “best friend”, is himself smitten with his 16-year old baby-sitter, Alexa.

Alas, unrequited love in the making.
